Where's the Champagne? Where's the bow, or is it stern?

Evidently I'm not a nautical expert. Other folks can drive the boat. Or is it steer the boat? Since this is my first post to my first blog, I'm thinking about rituals of celebration. Marking the beginning of something. Another place to let the words flow, an expansion of expression. I think I'll stop while I'm somewhat lucid.
